Preparing PCB design data for manufacturing is a critical step in the new product introduction process. Designs that work in a virtual PCB CAD system may unknowingly break critical manufacturing rules resulting in delayed delivery times as deviations and work-arounds are performed at the manufacturer.
At this free webinar you will learn about DFMStream, the new product from DownStream Technologies that provides powerful DFM capabilities in an easy-to- use tool suite. DFMStream bridges the gap between engineering and fabrication, helps save valuable time and reduces new product introduction bottlenecks.
DFMStream uses a “Stream” file to queue a series of DFM analysis checks and can combine netlist or layer comparison, design rule verification, fabrication and assembly verification with a single click of a button.
Design Analyzer analyzes the contents and complexity of a PCB design against the capabilities of the PCB
fabricator. This functionality helps the user choose the correct manufacturer and reduces hidden costs and unexpected delays.
DFMStream is a comprehensive suite of DFM analysis and PCB processing tools targeted at engineers and PCB designers. The software offers a suite of deep, yet very easy-to-use analysis and processing tools for the infrequent user. DFMStream can be used at any phase of the PCB design cycle.
DFMStream offers full verification of design and manufacturing rules on PCB design databases, Gerber, and NC data to ensure the data complies with design intent. In addition, rule files may be saved and re-used for specific vendor capabilities, greatly reducing set up time for DFM verification.
Mark has been involved in PCB design and fabrication for over thirty years, first as a PCB designer using vellum and tape and later using early EDA tools, including Racal-Redac Maxi and Visula. When PADS-PCB was introduced, Mark was one of its first one hundred users. Soon after, Mark joined the ranks of PADS Software as a Technical Support Engineer. During Mark’s twenty years with PADS and ultimately Mentor Graphics, he served in several key roles. His predominant role was Product Marketing and Product Definition for the PADS schematic, PCB design and autorouting products. In May of this year, Mark joined DownStream Technologies as Senior Product Marketing Manager. Currently, Mark is responsible for Product Marketing and Product Definition for all of DownStream’s products.
