In order to run DownStream software products at optimal performance, we recommend the following memory, operating system, and disk space.
On some networks, stringent protocols are in place to limit user access to system resources. This prevents users from doing basic functions such as editing the Windows registry. This may prevent a user of the PC from successfully installing and operating the DownStream Technologies software or License Manager. If this occurs, you must contact your network administrator to assist with the installation.
License Server Support
DownStream Technologies products can be operated in a License Server configuration. The License Server Daemon installation and setup for Windows PCs is part of the standard product installation. License Server support is also available for Red Hat Linux version 6.5 or greater and Sun Solaris. The License Daemons for these operating systems is available here.
Windows Virtual Machine Support
DownStream Technologies products can be installed, operated and licensed on Windows Virtual Machines. There are some limitations with regard to licensing and the currently supported Virtual Machine Providers. For technical details on Virtual Machine support, review Virtual Licensing Details
